OUTLINE A - Starting from a research question, candidates should highlight the methodological options to use in a research project in the field of pedagogy or psychology, taking care to reconstruct the literature and theories of reference. Reference can be made to a specific project if deemed useful.

OUTLINE B – Candidates should highlight the role and epistemological, theoretical and technical strategies needed to justify a research project in the field of pedagogy or psychology, taking care to reconstruct the literature and theories of reference. Reference can be made to a specific project if deemed useful.

OUTLINE C – Candidates should discuss the forms taken by translational aspects, namely the practical, empirical and cognitive implications, within a research project in the field of pedagogy or psychology, taking care to reconstruct the literature and theories of reference. Reference can be made to a specific project if deemed useful.

OUTLINE D – Candidates should illustrate a research project in the field of education or psychology, critically presenting the current state of knowledge, theories of reference, research methods, monitoring and evaluation options, and potential impact in social, cultural and civil contexts.

Prejudicial bullying involving young people of different ethnicity: understanding the mechanisms and transferring knowledge into effective interventions

OUTLINE A - In relation to the issue of prejudicial bullying involving young people of different ethnicity, candidates should highlight the state of the art in the area and the theories of reference, outlining a specific research project based on the context and a particular age group.

OUTLINE B - Prejudicial bullying involving young people of different ethnicity is becoming an increasingly significant issue in peer relations in schools.  Candidates should outline an evidence-based intervention based on knowledge of the phenomenon of proven effect in the school context.

OUTLINE C – Studying the phenomenon of bullying involving young people of different ethnicity requires thorough methodological knowledge. Candidates should outline a research project aimed at developing and validating significant tools for the study of ethnic and prejudicial bullying.

OUTLINE D - Candidates should design a research project in the field of prejudicial bullying related to ethnicity by critically presenting the state-of-the-art knowledge, reference theories, research methods, monitoring and evaluation options, and potential impact in social, cultural and civil contexts.

 

2018

Candidates should illustrate the paradigm of reference they deem fundamental for educational or psychological research in a complex and global society and the resulting methodology to study the most relevant social phenomena. You may propose an example to explain your way of thinking.

 

2017

Written Test Cycle XXXIII a.y. 2017/2018 

1. Candidates should choose a topic of interest within one of the disciplinary areas of pedagogy or psychology and illustrate the most recent theoretical contributions while discussing their social relevance and educational implications.

2. Morphologies of the educational relationship in different contexts and current pedagogical and/or psychological research.

3. Theoretical and methodological reflections, didactic responses in pedagogical and/or psychological projects.

4. Pedagogy and psychology for the future: models, strategies, methods. Illustrate the role of pedagogy and/or psychology for the future through examples and/or case studies. Think about inter- and transdisciplinary aspects, complexities and differences.

 

2016

Written Test Cycle XXXII a.y. 2016/2017

1. The transformations of present-day society have placed education before new demands: candidates should pinpoint a field of pedagogical and/or psychological research and illustrate useful research methodologies to investigate applications in education.

2. Pedagogy and psychology for the future: models, strategies, methods. Illustrate the role of these sciences for the well-being of the new generations through theories, methodologies, examples and case studies. Think about inter- and transdisciplinary aspects, complexities and differences.

3. Which research strategies to choose is not a secondary issue. While taking account of their specific discipline, candidates should critically illustrate a research method that in their opinion is particularly useful to analyse situations of marginality. Indicate the most suitable tools and procedures to translate the theoretical presuppositions into applied research models.

4. Starting from past pedagogical and psychological studies, candidates should pinpoint a research path and explain the supporting theories, reflective methodologies and on-the-ground goals of the operations.

 

For the written tests, a single essay title is drawn at random each year.
