What is a PhD programme?

PhDs are the highest level of education provided by postgraduate university education, corresponding to European Qualification Framework (EQF) level 8.
Upon completion of the PhD programme, students will have gained:

  • Cutting-edge knowledge in a specific scientific field or area of work, or at the interface between the two;
  • Advanced methodological skills and techniques, also in evaluation and synthesis, to solve complex problems in research and professional situations; 
  • Situated skills in problem solving, innovation, autonomy, creativity in learning processes, evaluation and development.
