What is a PhD pathway

A PhD is the highest level of education offered by a university's postgraduate program and corresponds to European Qualification Framework (EQF) level 8.

Upon completion of PhD studies, the following will have been achieved:

  • Cutting-edge knowledge in a given scientific field, field of work, or the interface between both.
  • Advanced methodological skills and techniques, including evaluation and synthesis, aimed at solving complex research and professional problems.
  • Situated skills in problem solving, innovation, autonomy, and creativity in learning processes and their evaluation and original growth.

The Doctoral Course in Education Sciences and Psychology is attentive to the identification of paths of innovation and quality in higher education and committed to the development of theoretical models and methodologies for research training, with particular reference to pedagogical and psychological skills.
